I use protein bullets, maybe some people call them protein shots. I find it
much more helpful and palatable to me versus the power and ready-made
drinks such as Isopure.
I am 7 days post-op. You can purchase it at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe.
Different flavors available, such as lemon-lime, lemon and fruit punch.
It's 3 oz. and provides 45 grams of Protein. It cost $3.99.

i have heard that this is a silicone based protein and our bodies won't
really absorb any of it. ask your doctor. i never know what is fact and
what is myth until i ask the doctor.

I did try a Protein shot from GNC...I had a awful reaction to it. It was
like over doing Niacin...that is a awful feeling. It doesnt hurt you..it
just makes you feel like your on fire from the inside out! I have heard of
many people that like them and use them...it seems your Dr & nut will
let you know if its ok with them. Good luck!

They are called New Whey Protein Bullets and are available as the first
poster said, from GNC and Vitamin Shoppe. They are slightly thick and
viscous, and although somewhat sweet, they are very tangy. I found that I
could not drink them straight but that they made a delicious addition to a
large mug of Celestial Seasonings Herbal fruit flavored tea. I would put
the Orange New Whey Bullet into Tangerine Orange Zinger, and the Blue
Raspberry or Tropical Punch into the Wild Berry Zinger. They gave it a
very pleasant tanginess that I missed when I quit having to use them for my
protein intake.

I buy Body Fortress brand at WalMart. They cost $1.87/ea and only come in
fruit punch. It also is only 26 grams of protein per 3 ozs. They are too
thick for me to drink straight. I add them to to ice water (32ozs.) or mix
with Crystal Light. I have found it to be a great way to get the protein
and fluids in for the day.
