support meeting

This floors me, doesn't your surgeon have a support group? Mine did, even the first doctor (he didn't work out for me) had their own support group. I am sorry, but I haven't heard of a WLS surgeon that didn't have a support group.

I can totally relate. My surgen gave me the support group that is 45 minutes away. I have gone, but would love to find one closer to my house. I live in Lake Forest Ca. Sorry I don't know of any in NC.

Hi Dona, Hi Neighbor. I'm in Shelby also. I am having my surgery done by Dr. Voellinger from Southeast Bariatrics at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. I know they have support group meetings but I it's a bit of a drive for us. I think Hickory is probably about as close. Good luck in your journey and I hope to meet you sometime. Wouldn't it be great to have a support group here in Cleveland County ? We should consider that possibility.

There is a support group meeting in Hickory at Catawba Medical Center. Actually there is one tonite at 7:00pm. We are going to learn and taste some great protien shakes and drinks. Hope this helps you! Angela
