I am only 5 mo out so I really can't help you, but I was going to suggest
posting on the main board or your state board and you will probably get
more answers that way. Good luck!!

You have done so well up to this point. Have you tried going to a support
meeting. With you loss, I bet you would find the meetings give you the
desire to push back and take they 12-15 lbs back off over the next year.
Try getting to the gym and get a buddy to go with you. I know that I feel
if I have not done my best the next support meeting will be an embarsement
for me, so I keep focused on the next meeting and what I need to do before
I go. It is like AA for the big eaters of the world!
Best of sucess to you,

Darcie, Try going back to basics. You may not realize what your eating. I
am 11 Mo's out and now it seems very easy to over eat juat by eating more
often. Thats not good. I have lost 248#'s so far and I have to tell myself
all the time to not go back to eating. go for a walk, bowling, anything. If
thats not the case, I would have to ask what are you doing differant if
anything. I am finding things out as I go also. So far i find it easy to
loose stick to my diet. and I hope it stays that way.. Did you have the
lap band or rny? [email protected]

Hi Darcie, thanks for writing. I am almost 4 years out, and I struggle
with appitite as well, but the rules don't change. You put it in your
mouth, you pay. The choice has to be yours, and so is the consequence.
Darcie, if I could just plead with you that almost six years ago you had
surgery to change your life. Why let something like food get in the way of
your continued success? You must deal with the head issues that lead you
to shove food in your mouth, or your weight will continue to go up. Diet,
exercise, and water, these are the basics, and I urge you to go back to
them and remember why you had surgery six years ago. We are adults and we
make choices, and the consequences are for us to bare if we make the wrong
choice. You can beat head and "lust" hunger. One day at a time!
Take care Patricia P.

Darcie, my best to you. I haven't yet had surgery, but I just asked about
this yesterday. Head hunger whether surgery fixes it. Actually, surgery
gives us time to lose great amount of weight and establish good habits. The
tool works wonderfully for that and give us about a year to accomplish
this. But my understanding is that after that initial time, you must rely
on what you learned and know to do.
I know it isn't easy. And I wonder if having this life latering surgery is
the answer if it comes down to telling myself to drink water, exercise and
eat less. It would be so nice if I didn't have to alter my body and way of
life for that. But for those who do (probably me) it, it is because we
needed the tool because every other diet was unsuccessful and doing on our
own didn't work.
Think of this: You have lost a whole bunch of weight already right? So 15
lbs is small comparatively. So take the gift you have been given and get
back to measuring your food, and getting exercise and water. You just must.
And get busy so you aren't sitting around being bored. Volunteer at the
hosptial or a crisis shelter or go to school. God bless and know I care.

I have had the same problem. I have gained about 10 lbs back after
reaching my goal. However, I will lose the pounds again within a couple of
weeks. My PCP told me not to worry about it as long as the pounds come back
off.
