Question:
I am 3 yrs post and Iam having a hard time with eating meat.
I had a gastroscopy and showed an ulcer and stricture. MD dilated openingthis was 3 months ago. I can only eat 4-5 bites of protein and get sick. (chest tightness and vomiting)it's not all the time but it is getting annoying and happening more often. Has anyone else had meat issues? thanks ki — luluandmoses (posted on November 16, 2007)

You may need more treatment of the ulcer before things get better. You may
have to "blenderize" protein for a short while to get past the
ulcer and stricture. It's kind of strange to have this problem 3 years
post op. This is more typical to happen under 2 years post op. There is
not much on you profile of any history to make any other observations.

have any of you tried chili? its kinda pre chewed, and liqueidy. well done
beef chicken etc is just too dry, and doesnt go down well. Thats fine by me
I prefer rare:) those who cant eat meat may have stomas that are too small
talk to your surgeon getting scoped can fit that easy

I have experienced this. I was also dilated, but had to be dilated 3 more
times to fix the problem.
