You may have reached a "plateau". From going to bypass support
meetings, several times I've heard of people going through a period of time
with minimal if any weight loss. I had that happen. My surgery was 18
months ago. I plateaud at 225 around Xmas for about 3 months.. Then I
"went off the wagon" and gained up to 242 in 6 weeks time. I got
back "on track" and reached another plateau at 220 pounds, which
I held for around a few months. I began taking a new liquid vitamin 2 and
1/2 months ago. I again began loosing weight. I'm now down to 210 for the
past 3 weeks. Everything is the same--exercise, eating, etc. My story is at

Glad to hear I am not the only one. I see so many people on here who lose
so quickly and are down to their goal at one year out. I am one year next
month (RNY) and I have been in the 160's since AUGUST! I am complient with
water, protein and vitamins for the most part. (occational treat) I keep
the carbs to a minimum. I think if we bump up our exercise. I am happy
where I am, even though it is higher than where I thought I would be. I
just do not want to gain. Good luck to you, you are not alone!

During our support group meeting they told us to up our protein and water.
Go back to baskics for three days and that usually jump starts the losing
again.. I hope this helps.
God bless you

I am 3 years out and my weight loss stopped at 63 lbs. I haven't lost any
more. And to date, I've gained 18 lbs back. I'm disappointed and on
occasion I've tried to go back to basics with just shakes, but it's so
difficult when you've gotten used to eating food again and when your pouch
has stretch. I say these things to say that if you're falling off at all,
get back on track fast. I've put my body through alot with a RNY and don't
have the results to show it. I think I would go about things differently
if I knew some of what I know now, especially that this is not a cure all
and that it's just a tool. Hoping you the best on your journey.
