Question:
Is there anyone who had the surgery who doesn't have any bottom teeth
I haven't had bottom teeth for years and am finding it very hard to chew — reader8853 (posted on April 30, 2006)

I don't have personal experience to share, but I am sure your nutritionist
has dealt with this issue before and would have creative suggestions for
you. Best of luck!

Well as I see it you have two options...One is get a bottom plate of false
teeth or get a chopper and chop all of your food before you eat it...I am
kind of the same boat...I am preop but I have most of my back teeth gone,
my wisdom teeth have grown in there but they don't line up and I have a
hard time chewing anything very good... So I bought a magic bullet blender
to puree my food and also a cheap manual baby food grinder.....Chewing is
an issue now so I know it is going to be after surgery....Good luck to you!

You can buy a small food processor at Wal-Mart for about $8.00. I have one
I purchased at a Supermarket when my husband had his teeth extracted for
dentures. they work very well and will chop up the toughest steak and make
it taste good!
