Question:
has anyone else had constant chest pain right underneath the breast bone?
I do not have my gallbladder. — Darlene J. (posted on January 19, 2006)

If I were you I would call the doctor just to give them a heads up and also
to have it documented. I truly believe what you have is gas. Some people
end up in the E.R. with this pain because its so awful. You should try
"GAS-X", or "Mylanta for Gas" and increase walking to
get those gas bubbles out. If you try all this and it still continues, then
by all means go see someone right away.
Good luck, to you. I hope this helps
If you find out what it really is, please post so we can learn.
Thanks

I had the same problem, the pain was horrible, it felt like it was under my
right breast. I hurt so bad for a few hours and then I would let out alot
of gas all of a sudden. I could have sworn it was my gall bladder but it
wasn't, it was simply gas.

See your doctor. While it could be gas, it could also be ulceration or
something more serious.

I had this problem for the first month and a half after surgery. It turned
out to be muscle spasms in my abdomen. I called my surgeon several times
to be safe. He prescribed a muscle relaxer which helped quite a bit. He
said that it was because I took my abdominal binder off a little too soon
and overdid. But call your Dr. to be safe.
