I had the same insurance and all it cost me was the nutrition counsling and
any co-pays everything wlse was paid for. But I think if you contact the
ins. company they would beable to help you with it.

Find out what the contracted rate with your surgeon and hospital is (from
your insurance company), and then your responsibility would be the 30% of
that number + any deductible you have. And to make things more
complicated, ask your insurance company what they pay for anesthesia and
lab when you are in an inpatint facility. This will determine if you pay
the 30% or more. Good luck.

I have BC/BS and I have a $250 so-pay for in hospital stay, + I have to pay
80% (which for me is about $400), and then I have to pay only my $25 co-pay
for my psyc eval, and then I am not sure how much the nutritional consult
is...but they will not pay for that for me, because I do not have
diabetes...BUT it is required before they would approve me.
I still have to call anesthesia, and the hospital and see what I will owe
them...so all in all, I will probably be out about $1000, because I had to
pay $150.00 for the all day class I went through, and $20 for my co-pay for
Dr. Rodriguez.
I know it seems like a lot...but the money I will save in future meds, and
heath expenses, not to mention the money saved eating all the junk food I
eat now....getting my life back is priceless...I think I'd give them my
left leg if they wanted it! :)
Good luck!
