Question:
How often do you exercise now that you're at goal?
I'm at my goal weight and did so by exercising at least 4-5 days a week with cardio first then weight lifting every other day. Now that I'm at goal, I decided to place more emphasis on weight lifting. Anyway, what are YOU doing now that you're at goal? I think exercise is an important and integral part of this but I want to make sure I'm doing it smartly (is that a word?). Thanks in advance for your help! — Kimberly L. (posted on March 26, 2003)

hiya! i am below goal weight and i exercise 4-5 days a week. i'm not really
a cardio girl ...i do just enough to warm up then i lift weights. i love
all the machines and the free weights too.
i reserve one day to only do what i call "relaxing" exercise:
swimming and/or yoga....

For me, exercise is more important now than ever. I've been at or below
goal for almost a year, but if I get lazy about the weight training and
cardio, here come 3-5 lbs that are a real bear to get rid of...don't let
this happen to you, it's depressing. Congratulations on your success!

I walk 5 days a week at a pretty good intensity/pace. I'm not setting the
world on fire, but it works for me. Also, I just signed up for my first
charity walk!! -Kim open RNY 7/17/01 -152

I do cardio 3-4x a week, weightlifting 3x a week, which is down from 4-5x
per week that I was doing while losing. Just found I was getting a bit
"pooped" on a busier workout schedule, plus, my workouts are
stronger and better if I take two or three days off per week. I agree --
without exercise, I don't think I would've made it to goal, and I sure
don't think I could stay here!

I'm not at goal yet but my bariatric weight loss program says 30 minutes,
3x per week.
