I was the same way. It's like your body has to take a moment to catch up
with itself. & sometimes our bodies are in starvation mode. Please do
eat, don't stop eating! Believe it or not, I lose the most when I think
that I have overate. YOU HAVE TO EAT TO LOSE WEIGHT! Believe me you will
continue to lose because you are not consuming in the food that you used to
intake. Take a minute & breath because you will continue to lose
weight. I am 22-months post-op & I have went from 278 to 134. But I do
remember that stall & I also panicked thinking I would never make it to
my goal. Please rest assure you will!

I am just over 4 months post-op & I have gone through a few
"stuck" times. It seems to last about a week or two with the
scale not moving but I also measure myself & noticed that the
measurements are going down, even if the scale isn't.
I agree with the post above, you must eat to lose. It sounds crazy but it
helps keep your metabolism going & burn more calories.
Hang it there, you will start to see the scale move again soon!
Congratulations on your weight loss so far! :)

I remember that 2 week stawl....Im 5 months post op and have gone from a
start up weight of 340 to 230.....its normal to go through it...your body
is trying to catch up....lol its funny how it works....believe me withing a
few days ur going to weigh yourself and you will be surprised at how fast
your numbers have gone down, and will go down....most importantly YOU HAVE
TO MAKE SURE YOU TAKE UR PROTEIN,(rogaine and 5000mcg of Biotin does help
with the hair loss...and u will have hair loss but dont fret it will grow
back) UR FOOD INTAKE AND OR LIQUID INTAKE...THIS IS THE TIME IN WHICH UR
BODY WILL DEHIDRATE MOST.....also take your multyvitamins and
minerals.....when in dough always go back to liquids.....and try to walk as
much as you can carefully without overexerting urself....good luck.....

After I reached the two month out mark, I plateaued for about 9 weeks. In
the next two weeks I dropped another 20 pounds. Plateaus are a part of the
process where the body needs a break to catch up with itself. Like the
other people said, keep eating as this helps the body lose the weight.
Also, don't forget to keep drinking fluids.

Congratulations you've lost an amazing amount of weight! It is not unusual
to plateau here. Now is where the tape measure becomes your friend. While
you are stalling your body will be shrinking to your new loss. Start
measuring because you will be shrinking down during this time. I stalled
once in my first year for two months. I thought that was it for me. I was
about six months out. YOu will have many plateaus. Some long, some short,
but stay with the program and be patient, you will eventually begin to lose
again. Drink alot of water during this phase. Also, going back to basics at
these times helps boost the loss. Eat like you did those first days after
surgery. At 3+ yrs out I still do that now if I creep up a few pounds! Good
luck to ya!

I'm 8-weeks out and my weight has been the same but everyone I've talked to
said it takes time for your body to adjust to your new stomach and eating
habits sometimes weight loss isn't for 12-weeks or longer don't lose hope
stay positive

I'm right there with you! I'm 9 weeks out and stuck at 216 from 248, also
for two weeks! I'm hoping something will give and I'll start losing again.
I'm still not eating all that much, but I guess I've got to get moving
more! Time to get out a walk more! Hang in there! This, too, shall pass!

Thanks for the advice everyone, I do feel a difference in the way my
clothes are fitting, like things I wore two weeks ago fit better than they
did then. It is hard though because you just expect since you aren't
eating much that the weight will just drop off. I feel so much better
about my body though so I know its going to be worth it.

That happens. It is completely normal and trust me it won't last. For me,
I may stay at a weight for about a week to maybe 2, then I drop a few
pounds. There are weeks you can see a drop of a pound or two about every
other day, then a stall for a bit.
No worries, your body is probably shifting weight and you just haven't
noticed it yet.
Congrats and good luck! I am sure you will be fine. :)
