Question:
What does it feel like when something gets 'stuck' in your lapband?
I have had my band since 2007 and don't think I have had anything stuck, but mine will get so tight (saliva won't even go down)sometimes that I have to get an unfill-once even in the ER! — pattyann (posted on May 28, 2010)

I can't be sure, but more than likely you have had something stuck in your
band when you had that feeling of tightness that required an unfill. It
will help to eat slower, chew well, and recognize this feeling when it
comes on. Warm pineapple juice just sipped will often ease the food
blockage in your band and prevent a trip to the ER. Best of luck!

It occurs after or while you eat. You will get pain as well as foaming.
If it stays too long it will usually come back up.
Papaya enzyme (chewable tablet) is great to have on hand just in case. To
pevent "sticking" remember always small bites, chew chew &
chew. When you think you're done chew some more. No liquids while eating.
