Question:
What kind of yogurt is low in sugar and fat?
I was told to have yogurt with less than 5 grams of sugar and 0 fat. I can't find anything. Does anyone have any name brands that that they eat that are okay? — latrattoria (posted on November 7, 2009)

The "Great Value Light" which is at Wal-Mart has 6 oz of yogurt
at 80 calories and 6 grams of sugar for the whole thing. I eat one
everyone morning with crushed "Special K" protein cereal on top
for extra protein..

I know I'm going to spell this wrong, but the Greek style called Oikonos
(sp-something like that) in vanilla is low in sugar, and has some good
protein. It's quite tart--I throw a little sweetener in with it. The
other greek ones with fruit have higher sugar.

I am just in a pre=op phase but the diatician told me to take the fat free
plain yogurt (the Greek ones are good) and sprinkle in just a little
Crystal Light powder to make it taste good. I like to use the lemonade
flavor, pretty yummy!

If you have Kroger near you try Carb-Master. Very low in carbs and sugar
and high in protein.

Any of the yogurts that range from 80-120 calories for 6-8 oz serving size
fit the bill for this they are labeled diet, no fat/no sugar.

Oikos plain Greek yogurt. I add a teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 packets
of Splenda, and two tablespoons of Polaner sugar free strawberry jam with
fiber. Delicious to the point of being addictive. Also, Kroger
CarbMaster... I add two tablespoons of Nutricology Fiber Powder to it, and
it's delicious and filling, too.
