Can be normal if you are hitting a plateau. If need be, call your doctor
and see what you should do. Good luck

Me too. I'm 4 weeks post banding and lost 20# in 3 weeks and none this
week. I am eating the same, still soft and ground foods, and increasing my
exercise and am stuck on the same weight every days this week.

I am 4 months out with RNY and I can tell you I hit plateaus at 3 weeks, 7
weeks, and 15 weeks. You will hit them several times during your weight
loss. You body needs time to regroup. It also allows your skin to catch
up so you don't have so much droopy skin. Just keep doing what you are
supposed to and the next time you get on the scales it will drop a couple
of pounds. You are doing nothing wrong as long as you are getting your
protein and fluids in.

It depends on what type of surgery you have had. If you are banded, it can
take a while to really start losing weight, until you get the right amount
of restriction. Also, are you exercising? planning & journaling your
foods?

My first plateau was around 3 weeks and lasted 5 weeks. Then I had another
that lasted 3 weeks not too long after that. There have been several weeks
where I lost nothing. Now at 5.5 months out, I'm on a definite slow down.
But still, I have lost 110 lbs. and am still loosing (with a long way yet
to go). Every BODY is different. Work your diet (lean protein, low
carbs), make sure you get lots of water and your vitamins. Attend your
support meetings. If you are the type to exercise (I'm still not), then do
that. If, after a couple of months, you still aren't loosing, talk to your
doctor about food allergies, toxins, hormonal (adrenal, thyroid, insulin,
leptin) testing. And be ready to deck anybody that says this is EASY! But
a lot of us are making our surgeries work and you can, too. God bless you.

Yep! Very normal. This is the way it works. Try not to stress about the
plateaus. EVERYONE has them. Why does it seem that they last forever,
though??? lol

During your journey, you will plateau because your body needs readjust.
Also, you might not have lost weight but check your measurements. You're
still losing inches.

Yes. This is totally my pattern for losing. I lose 5-10 lbs., stall for 2
weeks, lose 5-10 lbs. and so on and so on! but have lost 66lbs. since May
12, so hang in there and don't get discourage!

Thank goodness for this website and everyones input about the plataus (sp)
or I would be real depressed.nI just went theough a 3 week stall nd dropped
5-7 lbs today. All my friends told me I was losing but the scales did not
show it till today but I do think I was losing inches. Today was also a
great day. I BOUGHT A NEW (large) pants outfit about 2 weeks before my
surgery for a job interview and I put it on today for a meeting and it was
so large it swallowed me. That was a great feeling and brought everything
home to me. I had surgery May 18 and am down 55 pounds. I know its slower
than some but I onlt have another 50 lbs to go. I got my YMCA membership
this week and am going to start exercising now
