Question:
Has anyone in West Virginia who has PEIA and had Bypass without the 10% weight loss?

I have PEIA Insurance and I have been working on this for a year now and have not loss the 10% weight loss that PEIA states one has to lose in order have surgery? I have done everything else but just can not get any weight off. I have CHF and retain fluid I also take 100mg of Coreg a day plus 40mg pluse 25mg of Maxide for the fluid problem. I aslo 11 more med's on top of these. I weigh 330 and really need to get this weight off. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!    — lscheller (posted on July 8, 2009)

i am seeing dr shinn for possible gastric bypass. he said peia peeps have to lose 10% they write letters to the insurance company and they still dont approve it. good luck
