Question:
Stomach polyps

I have been approved for RNY surgery. I have done all the testing and everything was great until when having my EDG they discovered stomach polyps. They took them off, but now what are my surgery options? Am I still eligible for RNY weight loss surgery? What are my options???    — juneflower (posted on May 19, 2009)

I had stomach polyps removed prior to my surgery. They were benign. My gastroenterologist approved me for the surgery and was totally supportive of the surgery. She told me that my medication for acid reflux was the cause of the polyps to begin with. I had the RNY surgery on 11/09 and so far have lost 85 lbs.I no longer need the medication at all.
