Can lapband surgery cause the to go into shock?

I don't quite understand the question, could you please clarify? I think
there are a few words missing or something.

I'm assuming you omitted the word "body"... and if so, yes,
lapband surgery can cause the body to go into shock.
Shock is a condition where the tissues and organs of the body don't get
enough blood flow. This can happen for many reasons, including an allergic
reaction. It is unlikely that it would happen during lapband surgery,
however, if it did, because of the monitoring done during surgery, it would
be caught quickly and treated (with fluids--saline, maybe blood, and
medication).
