The only way that you can cover pre-exsisting conditions is to not allow
coverage to laps. Did he take and still has COBRA coverage? If not, I
would suggest you check out a vitimun company that speclizes in Bariatics
Supliments. Try www.bbvitsmins.com. I use Building Block Brand and they
have a B-12 spray that I use under my tounge and a B-12 tablit as well as a
anti-oxitant and I never show sings of B-12 deficiently that I did before I
found them. They carry Calcium Citrate which you have to have along with a
Multiple Vitamins that keep my blood reports looking right on target.

My co-worker is 8 years post-op and was having trouble obtaining insurance
coverage. In January, she got covered through BC/BS. I'm not sure what kind
of exclusions she has, but I know she has a high deductible and is paying a
pretty penny for the coverage. Congratulations on your success!

Im applying with BC/BS now, and awaiting their decision. I dont need
approval for the surgery, already had that, I just want coverage for my
normal primary pcp so that I can have coverage without it costing me the
arm and leg that I already lost hehehe.

I paid cash for my surgery because I did not have insurance at the time and
now I am almost 3 years out with no problems, not even b12 deficent(my
levels are almost too high). I take B12 shots weekly and was prior to
surgery taking them for years.Since my levels were running high my surgeron
made me cut back to once a month. As for insurance I tried about 4 months
after the surgeryto apply with various companies and was turned down time
after time. I and going to try again this summer(the 3yr. mark) with United
Health care I heard they will cover you after afew years with not issues.
Good Luck
