can excessive coughing cause band slippage

I suppose it could, since vomiting or retching could. But I would think it
would have to be hard frequent coughing to do it. I read you have/had
bronchitis - I would suggest you call your surgeon for any signs of
slippage or obstruction. Did you ask your doctor who saw you for the
bronchitis for a prescription for the cough if it's severe? Maybe if you
explained to him your concerns?

HI, I TOO HAVE EXCESSIVE COUGHING AND BRONCHITUS FOR SEVERAL WEEKS NOW,
BEEN ON ANTIBIOTICS, COUGH MEDS, MUCINEX AND STILL COUGHING. I'M SCHEDULED
FOR
RNY ON NOVEMBER 9th AND I'M GETTING WORRIED THAT I MIGHT BUST OPEN MY
STITCHES IF I DON'T QUIT COUGHING. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, I'LL BE PRAYING FOR
