Hi there....I am just over 3 months out....will be 4 months on 6/15. By the time I was at your stage, I was eating just about anything (within our scope). My favorite foods are/were - sushi, lean cuisine TV dinners (singles - still are too big, I would eat what I could and put the rest in a tupperware), Vons has their own healthy brand TV dinners called, Eating Right, they have GREAT flavor and are all within our food ratios of calories/fat/sugar, they also make family sized TV dinners that I make for my family - the turkey lagasna is to die for and the green chile tamales - soooooo good. Strawberries are in season and are awesome, along with pineapple and all melons. I eat cereal, protein bars, saltines with peanut butter or organic vanilla cookies w/fruit for breakfast. Lunch - lean cuise or eating right TV dinners, or sushi, or chicken/fish/tuna/shrimp cocktial, if the office goes out, I eat off of other peoples plates or I will order something small and when I am done, they eat off my plate. For dinner, sushi, tv dinners, or I make my own whole grain pasta at home, chili (Wendy's is good) or I make my own turkey or chicken chili, bean/cheese/avocado - taco/corn torilla, tortilla chips/salsa and refried beans (fat free and vegetarian made by Rosartio), HOrmel makes some really great heat and eat pork roast, meat loaf and turkey breast, a little mashed potato or baked potato and veggies are good. For dessert, popsicles are the BEST - they have sugar free and no sugar added - I bounce between the two. Fresh fruit. A lot of the ice cream people are making that double churned ice creams. I tried once or twice, pretty good, when you are dying for some ice cream, but it's dairy so be careful. Applesause. Pretzels. 100 calorie items such as cheese nips, chips ahoy, are good. South Beach diet items are pretty decent too. Hope this helps.

My advice is don't be afraid to try anything (except sweets etc). I am 2 months out and I try many things, if it doesn't agree, then it doesn't agree. Usually it is fine. I look at it this way...how will you ever know what you can and cannot tolerate if you don't try it? I eat alot of the same things that Jammie eats. Yesterday i ate some of the inside of a steak sub. I thought "what the heck". It went down just fine! Good luck to you

Just a suggestion for some veriety in your meals. Check out www.bariatriceating.com, or the book - "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery". There are also some bariatric friendly cookbooks out there to. One new one is "Eat to Live, Stop Living to Eat" by Ginger Brinkhaus. She has allot of stuff on her website that is good stuff, also. Check them all out.([email protected]) - Good luck - Judy Harris

I was told by my nutritionist that we are to eat meat, fruit and vegetables. Meat (protein) being the first thing we eat. At this stage we can try almost anything. (I am just a little over 2 months post op). So, within reason start trying anything. I agree with the other posters, we won't find out if we can eat it unless we try it. Good luck!
