Question:
Has anyone in chicago il. had lapband paid under Medicaid?

I'm interested in getting the lapband but I don't have any knowledge of public assistant paying for the procedure or any Physicians office able to accept Medicaid.    — Belindalu (posted on February 9, 2007)

I am in Ohio and at this time i am waiting for Medicaid approval, its a long process and i had started it in Feb of 2006, there is a place here in OH that does give you more information about that to. I really love this site there are a lot of things i have learnt and its due to this site. Good luck and God be with you. Paula

My mother is having RNY in 2 weeks in South Carolina, Medicaid is covering all of the costs, but will not cover any skin removal after the surgery. They would not cover lap band for her.
