Question:
Anyone have any advice on what to do if insurance wont pay and financing is an issue?

Is there anywhere to turn?    — outofpatience68 (posted on April 24, 2006)

Look into care credit. They do credit for medical expenses, many loans are interest free, however you MUST pay the loan off within a certain time frame, otherwise the interest will kick in.

I take it you are employed---have you looked into vocational rehab---check there---In NC they help--and we have to pay a portion based on income! I am thankful for them!

I went to Mexico. You still have to have money, but not near as much. Going rate for Dr. Aguirre (my doc) is a little over $10,000. It was a life saver for me.

My husband was denied wls by his insurance company and we called them and told them we were going to take them to the insurance board. It was medically necessary for him to have it. He weighted 640 lbs. They didn't fight us when we told them we were going to turn them in and go to court if that was what it took. He got his surgery in 1998 and lost 440 lbs. So don't take a rejection, fight for it if it is medically necessary. Joan
