how old are you? If you are in your 20/30's with some yoga and some butt exercises you'll be able to restore you rear end to a nice tight shape. but if you are in your 40 something you may need PS. Also swimming exercises will help with tightening sagging ass. Dani

EXERCIZE its great for you and will tighten the behind up...a eliptical--cross trainer its the best , start out at 5 minutes --its a work out and you'll be up to 20 minutes in no time. Circuit training is also very good. You have to work on and your body will go through a number of changes. I've been at it for nearly 3 years and I'm 51 and I feel better than I did when I was in my twenties. My stomach is my problem but the butt is great. Keep in mind we never did have a perfect body, if you have the money for plastic surgery that's great...but itis GOOD HEALTH that shoud be your big concern. good luck to you

Pedalling backwards on the elliptical does wonders for a drooping booty!

I think it's pretty common to have your behind disappear for awhile. But, as your weight settles and moves around...it comes back. I used to have just a tail bone sticking out...with no padding to sit on...and hard surfaces were actually painful for me. Now that I mention it, they still are, but not nearly so as before. Now, my body looks more normal...I'm 6 yrs post now...and the things I lost, I got back...which I'm really quite happy with. I didn't much like the way my clothes hung on me...now I have a shape again. Amazing how we normalize in time. Regards~

mine still sags.... skin folds over in cracks causing perodic big painful boils, once they break the pain goes away. mine broke earlier today after a poor night of sleep and being alost unable to sit on a chair... I ask this wondering if others get this?

I have to be the Negative Nannette, here (not my real name!). I'm 2 1/2 years out from Open Proximal Gastric Bypass, I exercised quite a bit (albeit not as consistently as I might have done), was even a Manager at Curves for a year, and my ass has never firmed up...it was pretty far south. Now that i had my lower body lift, it's even worse. my ass is as flat as a piece of plywood. i was told once the swelling in my back goes down, i will regain somewhat of a curve for a butt, but that it will always be pretty flat. i'm counting on doing a LOT of glute exercises and making the muscles back there as tight and prominent as possible. Good luck! (Open Proximal RNY, 7/03, 227/123/115)

I do pilates, and let me tell you, my heiney gets a workout! Leg kicks really work out my hips and butt, so you might want to look into that!
