I have PCOS, but I don't know if its THE REASON i got approved for Lap RNY.
PCOS does contribute to not being able to lose weight a traditional way
but I don't know if its considered a comorb as its not caused because of
obesity.
You should have PCOS listed when you submit to the
insurance company along with any other problems you have. I didn't have
many comorbs, but I was next in line for them!
Good Luck!!

When I had my consult, the doctor didn't enter PCOS as a Co-morb, but he
did write down two of the symptoms - infertility and insulin resistance.
These along with alot of back pain were the leading factors. My BMI was
nearly 54 also. Good luck! Denise 316/158

I also have PCOS. The doctor wrote that down along with some of the
problems that go along with it. I don't know if it got me approved but I'm
sure it helped.

I have PCOS and was approved, however my family also has a history of high
blood pressur, diabetes and stroke. I put down all the co-morbs that were
caused by having PCOS.
