Question:
Thinking of purchasing individual insurance- has anyone else done this?

I've been denied by Aetna several times. I am thinking of purchasing my own insurance- I am tired of dealing w/ Aetna. Has anyone out there purchased their own insurance and then gotten approval?    — pamela1 (posted on January 28, 2003)

When I lived in FL, my hubby, myself, and daughter had individual insurance through BCBS PPO. But at the time I was 225 lbs. so insurance for the whole family was only $150. A blessing, I know. But when we moved to VA we decided to get a group rate by strating our own business. However because my weight was 289, it was costing us a little over $600 for all of us. Just because of my weight. Through Trigon BCBS PPO. I would do some shopping around maybe you can find one cheaper. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
