Question:
Do I have an ulcer?

I think I have an ulcer! I have a burning in my stomach when I eat! I have not had WLS yet! I am waiting for approval. Will an ulcer stop me from having WLS? I went to my PCP for an ear infection a few weeks ago, I mentioned the burnung. She ignored me! Like it was nothing. Well it is still burning! What do you think?    — CYNDI B. Try setting an appointment up with your PCP for just that reason. Sometimes, they are impatient with patients if they go in for one reason and ask about something else. I also have had problems with my stomach. Have had a Hida Scan done. My doc said that if it was your gallbladder, ulcer, or just plain old GERD (reflux) WLS would help. I am having a VBG so having a RNY may be different. But check with your doctor. Good luck!
