Question:
im 5days post op and when i drink liquids i get bad chest pains is that normal?

Are you drinking too fast? You need to make sure you are drinking very
small sips slowly. The same thing happens to me if I drink too quickly.
Try to slow down a little and see if that helps. Good Luck!

I totally agree with the poster above. Take small sips and take them
slowly. Another thing I thought of is what is the temperature of what you
are trying to drink? When our pouches are brand new they may hurt if you
drink something real cold. Hot too
probably although I haven't seen as much of that. So make sure whatever it
is that you are drinking isn't real cold also and see if those things help.
Just so you know, I am 10 years post op and still can get pain if I drink
too much cold stuff at one time so

I agree with above posts... baby steps! No straws!!! Just let the liquid
slide down your throat. No gulping allowed :) Good Luck!!!

Im two weeks post op and had the same problem. I had to remind myself to
take small small sips and room temp is best for me. Good luck

i have nothing new to say =P i too think you are taking to big of drinks...
small sips. I think maybe u are swallowing too much air. i had the same
problem if i drank too much or too quickly.. best wishes.

o wow thank u so much for everyones answers i will try to slow down on the
amount and the temp might also help because if i drink warm broth it does
not bother me thanks agin
