I'm sure you will get more support if you can provide more info on what you
need support with. Your profile reflects you are hoping to have surgery so
we're unsure what issue(s) you need help on. Try editing this post or just
re-post with more info.

As was stated earlier we need to know what areas you need support in order
to lend it. You will find a very caring group of people on this site and
they will try and help you in any way they can.

Ask your surgeon's office to recommend a weight loss surgery support group
in your area. Once you find one, attend the meetings regularly. You'll
get good information to help you succeed, you'll be able to ask questions
of people who have gone through the same struggles and successes as you,
and you'll get a lot of support and encouragement. Also, look for members
of ObesityHelp who inspire you, and ask to be placed on their
"friends" list. Then, you can ask them questions about their
succes when you need an idea, or just some encouragement. Hang in there,
you can succeed. You are definitely worth it!
God Bless.

I have been contemplating surgery for over a year. I finally took the
plunge and am on my pre op road about 3-4 months out. I have constantly
had misgivings and fear. However, I'm still trying to stay the course to
eventual bypass. Yes it looks difficult. Yes it's not easy. Yes to these
and many more. I constantly have questions and wonder what I'm letting
myself in for but I also know I am miserable the way I am. We have to all
stick together to help me, you, and others. No one knows what each of will
decide or do but whatever it is we're all in this together whether we have
enough local support or not. I have similar issues and thoughts. I just
keep listening and praying.
