Question:
Has anyone done the colon cleanse?

I did one about a month before my surgery. I would not do one after surgery without talking to my DR first.

NO WAY! I don't get enough protein as it is, much less rush what I eat thru my system and lose the benefit. I would hope that you talk to you Dr. first if you are considering this. It would be dangerous for me, but your case might be different. I had LB last Nov. and I'm losing about 10-12 # a month.

I had asked my doctor about this a long time ago and he said that the only time a colon cleanse is necessary is if you take meds for the liver and that would be to flush them out and also you can become dehydrated from the colon cleanse. I don't think they are necessary at all. Things just naturally, and if you are talking about pre op, they will give you or tell you what to use and how much to clean yourself out pre op. Don't do it without talking to your doctor first. I hope you decide against it totally, I think it is dangereous.
