I had surgery on 7/1/08. I started walking 5 to 8 miles daily from 7/4/08.
So to me, I understood that my legs should hurt, because I actually think
I was overdoing the walking, however, by month 3, I felt that the pain
should of been gone, it lasted another couple of weeks.....Good
Luck..Magdalena

I had this problem at 2 months out. I asked my doc and he said it is the
change in your gait. meaning your muscles are getting used to moving a
different way for you. It will pass. Mine did. I am 2.2 years out now.
Your hip joints, your knee joints and muscles will ache for awhile. keep
exercising, this too shall pass. Good luck!

This happened to me right after surgery when I had to walk for the first
time. I was told probably the gas from surgery, & i also think it was
from the way I laid in my bed at the hospital. I did not lay flat, I had
the bed propped up about 1/2 way and i think that did not help the problem.
After I returned home and was sleeping in my own bed it got better with
time. My surgery was on 4/9/08 and as of today I have lost 103lbs. You will
feel better. Lot of luck!

I had my bypass surgery on October 7th and I have had back pain off and on
since (especially when walking and standing). My DR. tells me that my
center of gravity has changed with my weight loss (15 lbs pre-op and 26 lbs
post-op). He says my body will adjust and already it seem somewhat better.
