I too seem to be eating a little more and worry that I will slow down in
weight loss. I think it's important to stay away from carbs and eat only 3
times a day. Are you grazing??? I find myself grazing sometimes and don't
like the feeling! Sometimes it's best to go back to basics with dieting
and step up exercise. Talk to your nutritionist and see what suggestions
can be made to help you speed up the process. I don't think you can lose
all your weight in a year. You seem to be doing well!

I too am 5 months out and have lost 72 lbs. Unless I have my protein and
exercise I don't loose anything but maintain on a even kill. If you find
yourself eating more than one cup it may be too much. I have been told not
to eat over one cup at a time. Keep in touch and let me know how your
doing.

Are you being true to your tool? Meaning, are you eating less than a cup
at a time, most of it protein? Are you eating 3 meals daily? Are you
exercising? Are you getting in your minimum of 8 - 8oz glasses of
non-carbonated, decaf beverages in daily? If the answer it no to any of
it, that may be the reason for your delay. If you answered, truthfully,
yes to all of the above questions, then step up your protein intake and
exercise for a week, then see what happens....

Hello again Renea, now I know how much you want to lose. First, you are
not slow, so get that one out of your head. You can boost your metabolism
by exercising twice a day instead of once a day, several days a week. I
don't know of anyone who lost 170 lbs in one year, but you are well on your
way to success if you check into celebrating the positive and moving
forward. Are you part of a support group? Sounds like you need to be
around others who are also losing and encouraging. Try and find one that
will meet that need. Take care, Patricia P.

Slow loosers and goals, the nerosis that runs our lives... I am 3+ years
out, weigh 159 lbs which is my low post surgery weight and fortunately I
never hit an up turn, I had varying goals I presumed I would be happy at
180, then 170, then 160, now I figure 145 would actually make me PERFECT...
HA. there is not such thing. Know this, to this day if I focus on eating
protien and cutting out other stuff, and eat when I am hungry, which is
every 3 or 4 hours, 3 oz at a time, I STILL can eeek out a litltle loss.
Beat the head hunger and know slow loosers are loosers none the less and if
you stay vigulant as I managed to most of the time, you can still loose
well into your post expected easy to loose time. Be positive and do what
you know you are supposed to do. It works... and slow is beautiful!
