Question:
Can anyone reccomend a OBGYN in Georgia who has exprerience with WLS
I have lost confidence in my OB. I am 8 months out of open WLS and experiencing pains and troubles that I never had when preg with my son 4 years ago. My doctor is brushing me off and does not seem to care of my concerns. I am so scared of being pregnant this soon out of surgery. Please share any advice and recomendations of an OB in GA. Couldn't you do an over-the-counter pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy?

i was pregnant at 5 months out and did not find out until i was 7 months
out. i was not trying and did not know. i was taking my birth control as
i always had. there is a possiblity that you could be as your hormones are
out of wack and will cause the birth control not to work. i had a healthly
baby girl. i was closely monitored for weight and growth of my baby once i
could take advantage of the ultra sound. i saw my dor\ctor once a month
and then when was around 7 or 8 months i began to see a specialist for the
monitoring for the baby's growth plus seeing my reg dr. if you are
pregnant i would suggest looking for a specialist if your dr is not wanting
to review your concerns. unfortunately i am in va and you could not use
mine. you can e-mail me more if you wish. [email protected]

Karen, May I suggest touching bases with your WLS doctor you follow up with
and see if he/she will help address your concerns and if they have ideas
about what may be causeing the problems then have them then contact your
ob/gyn. This way you can be heard more clearly by your ob/gyn and your WLS
doctor can give them more info on pregancy after WLS. GB and hope all is
well for you.
