I have not had to use them for myself. My late husband had medicare and
his panciulectomy (tt) was covered - but that was a few years back. You
can go to the medicare web site and they have the polcies on what is
covered.

The plastic surgeons I've contacted won't even discuss a panni once I've
mentioned Medicare but they will take me on for a breast reduction. I
guess they've had bad luck with Medicare --? I don't know. Anyhow, good
luck to you. Nina in Maine

I am so glad you asked this question. I have been trying to find out about
Medicare coverage myself. Medicare is primary for me too, then Guardian
PHCS. I had my RNY on 1/7/04 and started at 312, down from 350+, now 218.
I also have a lot of excess skin and since I am 50 yrs old, it isn't very
elastic anymore after being stretched to the max for 30 yrs. Please let me
know anything you find out about medicare coverage and I will do the same
for you. Blessings,Carolyn

Medicare covered my tummy tuck and breast lift. I also have medi-cal as my
secondary insurance. My plastic surgeon didnt have one problem with having
it covered. I wish all of you the best of luck in having your insurance
cover you.

I would like to thank everyone who posted to my question. I have found a Dr
in my city who does take it and actually the office seems to know what they
r talking about but I will know more on the 26th because I go in then.
