Question:
ANYONE HAD LAP RNY W/DR.GADALETA IN GREAT NECK, NY???

I was wondering if any had lap rny surgery with Dr. Gadaleta in Great neck, NY? What was your experience? How was the hopital? etc. Thanks.    — T L. (posted on June 28, 2004)

Hi, i believe my friend had dr Gadlata in great neck. her sx was at northshore Manhasset.it was over 1 1/2 years ago and she lost 80lbs.i know she had some complections and recently had the band removed. All the Best! Tracey

Hi I had Dr Gellman s partner of Dr Gadaleta for an open RNY. But my friend had Dr Gadaleta for a lap band. She is very pleased with the results. The Practice is a group of very nice people both Drs. Gadaleta and Gellman are great. They have terrific personalities and are very down to earth and easy to talk to. They never make you feel rushed or unimportant. The Hospital North Shore University is supposed to be one of the best had no trouble with anyone except the nursing staff. I found only a few of them that I considered very professional and caring. All the Gastric surgeries seem to be grouped together so there are others you can talk to during your stay. If you would like to talk to me further e-mail me at [email protected]. Ps. I have heard mixed reviews on their Dr/patient rapport/bedside manner. I also have heard that the office manager is quite the tough one to deal with. She protects the Drs. like an armed guard. Dr. gadaleta also performs other abdominal surgeries. Our PCP suggested him for my father in law's hernia surgery. He, at age 81 decided against the surgery, not due to the Dr., but due to his age and that he was not experiencing major discomfort. Good luck!
