Question:
Where can I purchase Optifast for a reasonable price?
I only need to be on Optfast for 2 months. Was wondering where can I purchase it?? I want to start it now! Thanks. — T L. (posted on June 13, 2004)

I think you'll have to find a clinic that offers it. Not because you can't
purchase it elsewhere or online, but if this is for insurance puposes, they
are going to want a medical/clinical record of the plan you are on and the
progress etc. :) Best of luck.

I was not aware that Optifast was available without medical supervision.
Because it is a complete liquid diet, you would need to be monitored
regularly. There are hospital programs/clinics that offer optifast along
with the supervision, and the shakes are purchased through them. Some
insurances will cover part or all of the cost. Good luck! Shelley

Just where can it be bought other than a clinic? Oddly enough someone asked
me about this just the other day...

You can find practically anything on eBay, including listings for Optifast.
Whether they're legit, and whether it's a safe diet to do on your own (or
a good one), are other questions. Optifast was far and away the worst and
most useless diet I ever did in my life -- gained back my weight faster
than using any other method. Ugh.

You can order medifast through www.diet-fast. Also there is an
onlineprogram at Lindora.com that has a lot of high protein, low-carb
supplements like you get at Metabolic Research Centers and so forth.
