PROCESS WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER BEING DENIED? I WAS TOLD BY MY CARRIER IF THE SURGEON FELT AS THOUGH I DID WHY WASN'T HE INVOLVED IN THIS PROCESS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND I AM NOW 3 LBS AWAY FROM BEING 100 LBS. OVER IDEAL WEIGHT AND A LIST OR COMORBITES CONDITIONS. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET APPROVED? PLEASE HELP. — CINDY D. i don't know about this doctor but I know that most of the doctors kind of
leave you out on your on with the appeal process. It was rude for the ins.
person to say that to you. Good luck!!!!!1

my doctor and staff had nothing to do with my appeals, they said get it
done, get approved, and then give us a call. my bmi was 64 however, but
that should make no difference. i had to appeal 3 times to finally get my
surgery. the fight is between you and your insurance the doctors office
only supplies the service. sort of like if you had a car accident took your
car to the garage to be repaired they would do the work, but it would be up
to you to get your insurancer comapny to pay the bill, the garage would
notfight the insurance compay on your behalf, would be up to you to do the
fighting. all the best of luck to you
