Has anyone ever had to hire an attornery before you got approved? Is so, how long
did it take? — CINDY D. (posted on June 4, 2003)

I think you need to claify the question. Is this a denial for an exclusion
on the policy or a reason give for the denial?

I hired Walter Linstrom when I was denied in October by Aetna, it took
seven months to get the denial overturned. Just had surgery three weeks
ago.

I also hired Walter Lindstrom after I got a denial from Cigna PPO this past
Jan. Honestly I think I could have gotten it overturned without there help.
I'm not saying that they are not good at what they do, but for what I paid
$1100 I think they are just so swamped with so many clients now that it
took 7 days or so for them to return my emails and phone calls. All I am
saying is if you do want to hire a lawyer I would look into finding one in
your state that does this for a lot less. It still took 4 months to get the
approval from Cigna.
