Question:
AM I EATING TO MUCH?
WELL IN THE BEGINING I COULDN'T EVEN EAT MY BROTH AND GET MY FLUIDS IN AND I AM 7 DAYS OUT WELL TODAY THEY REMOVED MY DRAINAGE TUBE AND I GOT REALLY HUNGER I DONE 2 PROTIEN SHAKES AND WHEN I GOT BACK FROM THE DOCTORS I EAT 1/4 CUP OF BROTH AND WAS NOT FULL WENT FOR A WALK THOUGHT THAT MIGHT HELP BUT NO SUCESS SO THEN 2 HOURS LATER I EAT SOME TUNA,1 1/2 OZ AND 4 SALTINE CRACKERS AND FEEL FULL AND BEEN THAT WAY FOR 4 HOURS EMAIL ME AND LET ME NO DID I DO A BIG OOPS? — TAMMY B. The protien shake and broth are liquids so they will not give you a
"full feeling"...the Tuna and crackers sound like they did the
trick....It does not sound like much to me, but at 7 days out I was still
on liquids, but if you are allowed to eat solids it is not to much. Best

I agree with Patricia, The shakes and the broth are liquids and they pass
through the pouch quickly and generally don't give you that
"FULL" feeling. Remember, nothing to drink 30 minutes prior, with
or after your meals because the liquid flushes out your new pouch and makes
you hungry sooner. Good Luck!

I have been able to eat more than they said and I asked the doctor. He said
that because I had no nausea and because I could tolerate most any foods I
have been able to eat more. He told me not everybody has that full feeling
and I almost never have a full feeling. He told me to eat what I think is
about 2-3 maybe four tablespoons and then stop and stick to leaner meats if
I need to eat more than that
