Question:
Has anybody used Aetna EPO and have you been approved and how soon?

Hi Phoebe, I had Aetna EPO and they did approve my open rny. After my Dr. turned in the paperwork I waited a month and did not hear anything so I called they claimed they had not received the paperwork as is very common with all the insurance companies. I think they think if they claim they did not receive it you will just go away. Wrong!! I had my Dr's office resend the paperwork and called them back in a week still no paperwork, I freaked out on them and the lady on the phone had us fax it directly to her. She said for me to call her back on that Friday when I did of course I did not get to speak to her and the person I spoke to said there was nothing in the computer about it. Needless to say I went off like a rocket but that never gets you anywhere. So the next time my calm husband called and refused to get off the phone until they found my paperwork. It was found by a supervisor on th wrong desk in the wrong office. She was helpful to my husband and had the paperwork sent to the right person. It was approved by the next week. They paid 100% of everything. A happy ending!!

YES, I WAS APPROVED IN 2 DAYS. MY SURGERY WAS 07/09/01. I HAVE LOST 97LBS. I EAT LOTS OF BEEF JERKY, EGGS, ORANGE JUICE, WATER, SALAD AND COTTEGE CHEESE, AND CHUNK CHEESES. GOOD LUCK
