WILL THE MILITARY DO THE SURGERY
I LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS NEAR WILFORD HALL AFB HOSPITAL. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO A CIVILIAN DOCTOR I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS HAD A MILITARY DOCTOR PERFORM EITHER OF THE PROCEDURES? IF SO WHAT DOCTOR SO I CAN MAKE AN APPT. — SUZAN H. (posted on January 24, 2001)

YES,YES, YES!!! You are in a great area! Not only will Tricare pay for
the surgery, if you do not meet Tricare's medical conditions that warrant
surgery, Wilford Hall performs the surgery. There is a waiting list but it
is possible. I am having mine done on the 12th of Feb. by a civilian
Doctor through Tricare. I did have the option of going to San Antonio and
getting it completely free. That wait was just longer. Talk to your
Tricare rep. and if you are Tricare Prime talk to your PCM. Good luck and
