I mix it with my high protein soup- the baby food meat- which increases my
protein intake from 15grams to 23 grams. I find the turkey and chicken
best.

I was advised not to have baby food (apart fromt he fact it tastes
disgusting!!) as it doesn't provide enough nutrition needed

i was told the baby meats were ok by my nut. They are low cal and have 10
proteins per jar, which is about 2 ounces drained. I get the meat sticks,
not the chicken or turkey ones.

It's funny....all surgeons and dieticians are different. I was told NO
BABY FOOD. They didn't mind if you pureed your own, but did not want us
eating commercially prepared baby food. I don't know why.

Do yourself a big favor and buy a Magic Bullet and puree your own food.

I ate baby food after my surg. Couldn't eat a whole jar. If you add salt
to the meats they are ok.

I did not eat processed baby food (I didn't feed it to my child, I
certainly was not going to eat it!). Make your own. I cooked a roast of
beef (2-3 lbs), properly seasoned and put it through the food processor. I
added milk to make it the right consistency. I put it in ice cube trays.
That is about an ounce of meat. When I reheated it, I used some beef broth
to give some moisture in the microwave. It was delicious and maintainable.
I pretty much did the same thing with sweet potato and acorn squash - quick
and easy meals.
Don't eat the jarred stuff when making your own is so easy, and so high
nutritionally!
