Question:
Can I drink organic apple cider viengar?
For the past year, every night I would drink about a shot of organic apple cider vineagar for well being and I am wondering if it would be a problem to start doing this now, Im three weeks post op from lap band surgery. Its alkaline and aids in soothing any stomach acid and is a natural anti inflammatory and aids in digestion so, could it be a problem? — harmonysplace (posted on November 7, 2009)

Generally, I would think that this should be a question for your surgeon.
As I understand it, any vinegar is acetic acid. It is't alkaline. As a
'weak' acid, it may act like a buffer. So, if you've moved on to acidic
foods, vinegar should be fine.

Since lap band can't see why this would be a problem at all.

Pure organic apple cider vinegar is an absolute must for me as it helps in
my extreme acid reflux. I started using it before my WLS. I also spread out
the eating of a red delicious apple cut into slices, eating a few slices at
a time throughout the day. I had the vertical-banded sleeve gastrectomy and
only have 1/4 the stomach I used to have and find it does not affect it
adversely.
