I don't know if you would describe what happened to my band as
"slipped". It migrated into my stomach and caused a huge abscess
full of E.Choli bacteria which nearly killed me. I must specify that I was
in varying degress of pain for the whole year that I had the band. The WL
Doctor would say it was reflux and send me to my primary care doctor about
it. The primary care doctor would say to tell my WL doctor...and on...and
on...until I went to the emergency room. I now have had RNY, (8 years
later),and am doing good with my weight loss. So far I have lost 125
pounds, and have another 100 pounds to go. If you think that yours has
slipped, it would be easy for your doctor to do a flouride test and find
out. See your doctor.
