Question:
I am 7 weeks post op. I had Lap RNY/ My abdomen seems to be swollen.
I am losing weight in my thighs and hips but the waist is not getting any smaller because of the bloated state. — browngathers (posted on September 2, 2009)

You really need to contact your surgeon. Any time your abdomen is
distended (swollen) you need to be very cautious and get it checked out
ASAP. I'm certainly no healthcare professional, but I'd think at 7 weeks
that any swelling from the surgery would have subsided, by now. PLEASE
contact your doctor now. Good luck and God bless!

I would definitely call your doctor.... I had pain and swelling up until a
week and a half ago (I am 6 weeks post op tomorrow), my doctor had me get a
CT scan... I had normal post op swelling (according to the scan).
Be safe and call your doctor immediately to get it checked out!!!!!
If I do too much I still get some swelling and have to put a heating pad on
it and take it easy.... only a couple walks a day and no housework
(damn)....
CALL your surgeon!!! you need their opinion here!!!!
