Question:
Has anyone with hypothyroid had lapband surgery?

I had my thyroid removed in 2004. had lapband beginning of the year and have lost 80 lbs. so far.

Hi, I also have thyriod problem and where I'm at now is before my thyriod dr will clear me to have my surgery, i have to have a thyriod treatment,radaition done, so i won't have any problems during surgery. Theresa

I have hypothyroidism and take Levothyroxine. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and have lost 12 lbs since surgery (and 30 lbs total, including weight lost on the pre-op liquid diet).

Yes, I have Hypothyroidism, and I take Levothroxin daily. I had lap band surgery in March of this year and I've lost 40 pounds already.

I had my thyroid removed when i was in high school but i had my lap band in 06 and i don't have any problem's losing weight.
