Question:
Looking for a Bariatric Malpractice Attorney in California
Hi, does anyone know of a medical malpractice attorney in California that specializes or has knowledge of Bariatric surgery? I am looking for someone to research my case. Please advise if you're aware of anyone, or if you have a suggestion on how to find a reputable attorney for this matter. Thank you! :) — lowcarbinchica (posted on April 22, 2009)

I'm in NY but I typed in "Malpractice attorney in NY state" on
the computer and got a list of names. I interviewed three before I made my
choice. I had a gastric leak that went undetected for over a week, ended up
in a coma for 5 months, on a ventilator. I'm 8 months post op and still on
a feeding tube and several drains hooked to suction machines. I went from a
good paying job to loosing my job because I was out so long, loosing the
house, and my car. Now I'm on welfare. Good luck to you.

My surgeon is in Northern California. I am suffering from malabsorbtive
issues and after an upper GI was performed about a month ago, the GI doctor
found that I have no pouch. I basically have an esophagus that connects w/
the anastomosis that connects w/ the intestines! The doctor made a
technical mistake in the surgery leaving me with absolutely no stomach
pouch that is part of my digestive tract. Anyway, at this point, I realize
that the reason for my health issues are because of his mistake and I want
to take legal action for this. I was one of my surgeon's first patients
that he performed on. I should have known better than to go with him, but
he was reputable as a "surgeon", just not the WLS in particular
and I took my chance. Anyway, if you possibly have any recommendation for a
good attorney, I would appreciate it. I would happily meet with an attorney
anywhere, including Southern California because they probably have more
experience in Bariatric surgeries with its popularity there. Thank you in
advance for your advice and help. :)
