This sounds somewhat familiar...I do remember having this now and then and
thinking it was just trapped gas...It always went away...So I never
bothered with it...If it keeps on for a few days...call your surgeons
office and ask...It's all you really can do...Pain is tricky and you always
want to consult a doctor if you have chronic pain...even if it's just gas!
LOL Better to be safe than sorry! Good luck!

pain on the left COULD be gas, pinch nerve or an indication of a POSSIBLE
heart attack or stroke. if you feel it may be gas, move around and try to
get it out. if you think you may be a heart attack or stroke, get to a
hospital NOW. i have not had any surgery to experience the gas that goes w/
bari surgery but have had pain bad pain on the left to make me go to the
emergency room twice, only to find out that it was gas. do not feel
embareced if it is gas. better safe than sorry.

Yes, the all familiar left shoulder pain. That was such a mystery to my
doctors. I finally went to accupuncture and she said it was a problem with
my digestion. Tums pretty much helped and a few sessions with her. I hope
you find the answer.

Gas from eating too fast is probably the most commomn reason. Another
thought that comes to mind is gall bladder inflammation. So if you still
have your gall bladder, check in with your doctor.

The previous answers are both correct - please don't assume left shoulder
pain is nothing until it's been checked out. Gall bladder inflammation
often manifests as left shoulder pain. Women do not always present typical
heart attack symptoms, but they can, including shooting pain in the left
shoulder and arm. Please call your surgeon and/or family practitioner
tomorrow. Good luck and God bless. Julie P. RN

It is gas/indigestion.
