Steve, I do no think that there is a limit. I started out at the same
weight as you. I have lost 425lbs since Sept 03. I am 6'2" female
and now I am 140 and have to actually fight not to drop another pound. So
based on my experience, you can still drop weight. BTW I looked at your
profile and pictures and you look wonderful.

Sorry Steve, I read your questions wrong! A limit on how long we live
after WLS...a very long time! After all we are healthier now.

As far as I know, we all have individual expiration dates that we are not
privy to. However, I know I have added years and most likely decades to my
life as a result of taking charge of my health, losing the weight and
getting to my healthiest point in years. All this due to WLS. I am 6
months out and have lost 110 lbs. thus far. I look and feel 20 years
younger and am amazed at what I can do energy and strength-wise. I've got
my life back and feel like I am really living it now. I could get hit by a
bus tomorrow, and so could you. But being healthy and vital and having
that quality of life is what's important -- not how long you've got to live
it. How long is a question only God can answer. But you should rest
assured that you have exercised your free will in a way that honors your
body and your spirit and I think most likely hedges your bet for a longer
and healthier life. In the end that's the best you can do. I tell
everyone that this surgery was the smartest and the bravest thing that I
have ever done for myself. I'm sure that's true for you, too. Enjoy your
new life! I hope you live long and prosper! ;)
