I WAS TURNED DOWN BY THE TEXAS REHAB COMMISSION DENIAL

I WAS DENIED THE SURGERY FROM TEXAS REHAB THEY SAIDED THAT I DID NOT MEET THEIR GUIDELINES BUT I GAVE ALL MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO THEM THEY SAIDED THAT I NEEDED TO BE ON A DOCTOR PROGRAM AND GO EVERY WEEK AND TRY TO LOSE WEIGHT THAT WAY AND COME BACK IN A YEAR BUT I HAD MEDICAL DOCOUMENTS , I HAVE BEEN OBESE ALL MY LIFE AND I AM HAVING SEVERE BACK AND LEG AND KNEE PAIN THAT KEEPS ME FROM WORKING.I DO NOT HAVE MONEY OR ANY SAVINGS OR ANYBODY TO HELP ME .I ALSO HAVE SLEEP APENA AND LIVER PROBLEMS.WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THIS SURGERY?    — AMANDA S. Email me!! I was denied the first time around also. I went to Advocacy Inc and "hired" a lawyer! (its a free program) They deal with TRC cases all the time! They have reinstated me and now are sending me to their doctors which they should have done to begin with! The 3 months is up again but they actually extended it this time after talking to Karen (my advocacy person). So now its a waiting game. LETS just hope I CAN WAIT!!!
