Question:
Does anyone know of a protein that comes in a pill or liquid form?
I just cannot stomach the shakes. I am still pre-op and my dr. recommends that you start the protein now. — Melanie M. (posted on June 11, 2002)

All of us (or I should say most of us) in Dr. Haicken's support group in
Tampa take protein pills known as MAP. The link to buy these pills from
Dan the Protein Man is on Kristin Ritters home page. They are $60.00 for
100 pills, they are absorbed well by RNY and we metabolize them at 100%, I
personally love them, I am 5 months out and my labs were
"perfect" even though I dont really eat much yet, and I eat
virtually no meat. Hope this helps!

I use Cheramino once/day. I use the 4 T for 30g. But it is not a complete
protein (per Twin Lab), so I am using whey several times per day, as well.
It just beefs up my total for the day, but collagen doesn't have the same
appetite suppressant properties as whey, either. So it's just an
"adder", not an "only".

I found the perfect protein drink, it is new and has 60 grams of protein
and comes in single serve pouches you can put in your purse. The best part
is it is nothing like all of the other protein drinks you will actually
like it. I spent about $200 sampling other drinks than ended up in the
garbage. It also has high amounts of calcium and biotin. Biotin is what
will help you keep your hair. The company is building a website now and I
have spoken to them about giving discounts for gastric bypass patients. As
soon as I have a link I will post it to the site for everyone.
