Tofu, also known as soybean curd, is a soft cheese-like food made by
curdling fresh, hot soymilk with a coagulant. Tofu is a bland product that
easily absorbs the flavors of other ingredients with which it is cooked. It
is rich in both high-quality protein and B-vitamins and low in sodium.
Tofu is used in many many vegetarian dishes as a meat substitute.

Chances are if you have eaten Chinese food then you have eaten tofu, it is
in many of their dishes and you most likely thought it was chicken as it
looks like white meat chicken when mixed with other foods and sauces. It
has very little flavor of its own and takes on flavors from other items
with which it is cooked. It is high in protein and good for you, easy to
digest as it is very soft.

I have not eaten Tofu..but read this post earlier this am and was going to
the store..so I read the Tofu pk..it only has 7 grams of protein per
serving per the package. I also read my yogart pk it had the same amount of
protein.
